Research areas
MIRIAI is a team of scientists focusing on fundamental and applied sciences in machine learning and connected areas.
  • Manipulators and human-like robots
The main objective is to create universal behavior management architectures for cognitive agents. Agents can function both in a virtual environment (simulators and game environments) and in the real world (robotic systems), where they need to demonstrate intelligent behavior: plan behavior, acquire and use knowledge, interact with other participants in joint activities, recognize and categorize environmental objects, set and change their own goals, etc.
  • Professional-level AI assistants
Efforts to create professional digital assistants are aimed at solving the problem of staff shortages in the IT sector for the implementation and maintenance of ecosystem tools, increasing labor productivity through the introduction of collaborative and autonomous agents. The shortage of specialists is estimated at tens of thousands of people. The creation of professional-level AI assistants will ensure the direct and large-scale introduction of professional assistants into the economy.
  • Optimization
We focus on research and development of numerical optimization methods and their applications. The work involves producing new scientific results, publishing articles and books, and collaborating with industrial partners. The team includes of over 30 specialists engaged in advanced optimization techniques, supported by grants and active participation in scientific conferences and educational events
